That took me back a month or two when we went to Australia ( Just after Kerry ) :down:  :down:  :down:

Standing on the banking at Bathhurst watching them race on the Aussie bank holiday week-end, :t-up:  :t-up:  :t-up:

Got some photo's somewhere of the circuit and museum I will try to post.  :durr:  :durr:  :durr:

Defo a nutter driving someone elses car and likely to have a big whoopsie even if its someone elses fault as he leaves no room for error :oops:

The driver is a guy called Dean Evans - Google him and you'll find other videos of him driving Elises and an Exige Cup 260 in hillclimbs and road rallys  :cool:

As well as being a racing driver (sometimes quoted as being a 'tarmac rally' specialist) and editor of Tarmac magazine in Australia he is also an instructor at Bathurst so knows the circuit rather well.

The Elises in this race were all standard Rover K engined S2s apart from a couple of Exiges so the only advantage he had over the other was maybe a bit more local knowledge and a huge amount of confidence... He missed qualifying for this race so started at the back but would normally be expected to be on the front row of the grid ;)
