A Bentley Continental GT and a Porsche 911 had been travelling at about 50mph above the 80mph speed limit. Both cars were confiscated and their drivers, men aged 40 and 52, were charged with "endangering others

And the cars are to be sold, expensive day out for some and  ;) no wonder Westies do not like France

I agree.

For me, some folk believe speeding is a right.  Can I ask why?  Or would you consider travelling at 80mph along your 30mph High Street an OK thing to do.

France does like Westfield’s but not the idiots behind the wheel who believe they are bombproof.

So none of the members on here have ever gone over the limit in their westies ever, by even 10 mph. Dont make me

The mph over the limit makes no difference, end result is the same according to the law.

Anyway what speed is  considered ACCEPTABLE over the speed limit on a motorway or any other road for that matter.

Its all about what people can get away with, and that includes everyone in this club.

Anyone on here that says they dont break the limit is telling great big porkies.

I'll get me coat

"What"!!!!

I just got back with the old essex tractor in France, being the law abiding English man driving at 130kms 80mph (speed limit) on their motorways, and being passed by our European friends.....

"Like I was going backwards"???????

What you going to do ..... "LOCK UP ALL THE EUROPEAN DRIVERS ASWELL"!!!!!!! ':durr:'

P.S....

But Jan Dechamps, a spokeswoman for the Cannonball Run, said they had been victimised by French police.

"One policeman admitted that if the drivers hadn't been with the Cannonball they would have let them go on their way. It's discrimination really - it was nothing major, they weren't doing completely ridiculous speeds.

"They are no different to holidaymakers going to the South of France."

Ditch.':bangshead:'

Product of socialism.....take it, take it & owned it!

Hmmmm, Obama's cannon "balls" took not only two cars but the whole GM.

We will make sure we won't allow that system on November election.
