lippydave Posted July 9, 2010 Posted July 9, 2010 This retard Moat..... He's a body building neanderthal with a shotgun who was only released from prison last week.... So how can he elude the combination of 14 police forces, helicopters, infra-red detection in Tornados, imported armoured vehicles from NI, and allegedly the SAS? Is he really Rambo personified or are our police force over equipped, over paid, over trained, and not really all that bright or resouceful? ....Is it only me thinking that they can't catch some dumb lag with a shotgun and a bad attitude, but they can spend thousands using police helicopters to catch speeding motorists and installing average speed cameras to pay for the chief constable's donuts..... Discuss.... Quote
Mark Stanton Posted July 9, 2010 Posted July 9, 2010 Stop the press and TV coverage ....... send in a proper trained SAS type and have him slot one right between the eyes of the low life ....... job done and saves money all round "if" he's taken alive it will cost even more and he'll end up some glorified prison gang leader PC do gooder and tree hugger ....... in off mode Quote

JeffC Posted July 9, 2010 Posted July 9, 2010 I will be suprised if they find him, they are concentrating on one area where sightings of him have been reported ,would dare guess most of them will be false If i was him I would have got in the back of a van or under a lorry body and be as far away from there as possible, for all we know he could be in Blatmans back yard didnt the news say it was £1 million pounds a day Quote
Norman Verona Posted July 9, 2010 Posted July 9, 2010 are our police force over equipped, over paid, over trained, and not really all that bright or resouceful? From what I saw when working with South Yorks Police they are not over equipped. If you were asked to put your life on the line would you consider a basic wage of £24,000 "over paid". If you shot someone by mistake, say, because they pulled out a fake gun, you'd be thrown to the wolves with no help from the top. Over trained? Well a very high percentage of a policemans time is spent on training. However a lot of this is due to the endless new legislation that was pouring out of parliment. Let's hope the new regime will stop passing laws to show us how hard they're working. Bright and resourceful? I came to the conclusion they are no more or less brighter than you or I. They're ordinary working boys and girls who are asked to do a very difficult job with no real help from their bosses and not much from the public. Let me put it this way. I doubt you'd do the job. stephenh Posted July 9, 2010 Posted July 9, 2010 Everybody has their own opinion, but I dont think you can honestly criticise the police in this case without knowing all the facts. How easy is it for somone who knows the area well to hide? How big an area of forest is there? The guys who work for the local hunt, who obviously know the area as well as anyone were interviewed on radio 4 this morning, and had great sympathy for the police in their task. Me, I dont know the area, so I'm not going to stand judge either way. I hope that the police are sucessful however, and sooner rather than later. They have my fullest support in this. Quote
pistonbroke Posted July 9, 2010 Posted July 9, 2010 They were all after Richard Hannay for weeks on end , never did catch him. What about "The Fugative" think he's still at large Quote
Richgm Posted July 9, 2010 Posted July 9, 2010 It appears that he hasn't run very far. Live on News channels at the mo. Quote
John Loudon - Sponsorship Liaison Posted July 9, 2010 Posted July 9, 2010 They find his tent and car close together so why cant sniffer dogs find him? Quote
jerryhzx12 Posted July 9, 2010 Posted July 9, 2010 Just have to hope he passes a "safety" camera at 1 mph over the limit - guartanteed to get spotted! Quote

Well said Norm. For me send in the special forces and put a stop to this nutter. I for one dont wish my taxes going to support someone so dangerous in the clink. Especial as he is likely to be out again in less than 10 years ready to do it again. Slot the b****r, Sorry if this offends anybody its just my opinion. Quote
