Hmmm.  More like skill overcoming the idiot Porsche driver who swerved right and tried to run the car off the road at 3:25 and then recovering to be there when the 911 nunney takes someone else out at 5:30.  Nice driving all around more than luck, especially after the tyres look like they had gone off the boil a lap or two in.

(Edited to say: The more I look at the first video from 3:25 to 3:30, the more I'd want to have a chat with the race officials and show them the video - the 911 driver was bordering on reckless.)

To be fair, at 3:25 the Porsche was hauling   on the car in front but then at the corner got baulked by the little red car who in turn was baulked by the slower little green car, a 'racing incident' as they say on the BBC F1 Forum, it is the overtaking cars responsibility to get safely past the car ahead not the other way round

I was thinking "lucky", that nothing more serius happened when the Porsrsche touched the Westy, could been the end right there.

The Westy has around 250 bhp, the Loutus 260 and the Porsches 3,8l engine around 400bhp.

If the Westy had better aerodynamics, it would keep up better on the straigths.

And the lotus weigth is 535 kg
