Tubs Posted July 8, 2010 Posted July 8, 2010 I've always really disliked the Bug and for me it is an example of arrogance over design. And the hype arround the car's performance is even worse, the claim for example that if a McLaren F1 went past a Bug at 120mph and flat out, the Bug would overtake the F1 a few seconds later. When Top Gear put the two side by side in the desert the F1 was actually ahead at 60 and the Bug took a while to get past. Furthermore, €1M for a car that can't lap the Top Gear track as fast as car that has a 40 year old heritage - the Caterham R500. Tubs Quote
