Blatman Posted July 6, 2010 Posted July 6, 2010 Telemetry suggests the theory for GP cars holds up as they generate aero downforce greater than the total weight of the car above certain speeds. This is why GP cars, and cars with proper aero packages are stiffly sprung. They have to support the weight of the car plus the weight of the downforce generated by the aero. If a GP car weighs 600Kg's and generates 600Kg's of downforce, then the suspension system has to support 1200Kg's of weight Imagine driving a 600Kg Westfield with another 600Kg Westfield strapped to the "roof". How stiffly would that need to be sprung? Quote
matt_c Posted July 6, 2010 Posted July 6, 2010 Looks impressive but I am 99.99999% sure it's a fake, a camera trick or cgi etc, especially the inclusion of the fireman on the road. As I say, looks good non the less. Matt Quote
