DAZ Posted December 13, 2002 Posted December 13, 2002 Hi there I admit i know nothing about this i am thinking some things would change but don't know what. Currently have 185/60/13 what would change on the car if i were to put 185/70/13 on the car instead. Thanks DAZ Quote
samcooke Posted December 13, 2002 Posted December 13, 2002 Higher top speed, worse acceleration and handling. Quote
Neil Purdie Posted December 13, 2002 Posted December 13, 2002 Daz I went from 185/60/13 up to 185/70/13, for the additional 1/2" ground clearance. Problem being the larger diameter then rubbed on the flared wing stays ( now removed for cycle wings ). Do you have enough clearance inside your cycle wings? The rear end looked like a tight squeeze, but was OK. Quote
juansolo Posted December 13, 2002 Posted December 13, 2002 Once again I find myself asking 'why?' Quote
Neil Purdie Posted December 13, 2002 Posted December 13, 2002 for the additional 1/2" ground clearance I cant think of any other reason....Sumps with holes in are a pain in the Quote
POC Posted December 13, 2002 Posted December 13, 2002 I went from 185/60/13 up to 185/60/13, for the additional 1/2" ground clearance er.....? Quote
samcooke Posted December 13, 2002 Posted December 13, 2002 for the additional 1/2" ground clearance So wind the suspension up a half inch... Quote
Neil Purdie Posted December 13, 2002 Posted December 13, 2002 I couldn't wind up the suspension, the spring platforms had been painted and were seized solid, so 70 profile rubber looked like a solution whilst needing tyres. Now the new Avo shocks are going on, once the tyres are trashed it will be back to 60 profile and jack up the suspension. Anyone for tennis Quote
