numpty question again  :blush:

couple of trade sites i go on require user names and passwords everytime i log on, had this computer wiped a few months ago and at first it asked if i wanted windows to remember the password etc , I did this with most websites so all i have to do is double click the box and it comes up no typing, now it doesnt give me the option to remember and its a ball ache typing them in all the time so is there a way i can get it to remember ??  :suspect:  :suspect:  ???  ???  :durr:  :durr:

There will be a setting somewhere in there that allows you turn these things on and off and potentially manage your id's and passwords.

However, I'd still play safe and type the details myself. If you don't want to do that, then you could get a "wallet" type add-on where you can securely record all your login and password details, you then have just one id and password for the wallet app and it will do the rest for you - much safer.

Any add on that stores passwords is a security risk.

But for the "saved passwords" function in IE8, got to Tools > Internet Options > Content tab > click on Settings next to Autocomplete, and put a tick in the box at the bottom for User Names ans Passwords on forms.

I'm with Blatman on this. None of my users are allowed to store any form history due to the security risks.
