MOT's & Wiper arms

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I take it any 'decent' MOT place can perfom an MOT on a Westy or is there a 'specific' place I 'should' take it too, somewhere were the chap/chappess can tell me things that I may need to do in the near future, etc? :durr:

Also is it possible to get the wiper arm from anywhere else other than Westfield?  I only need to 'replace' one of them (Rivot snapped) :arse:

Can you get the wiper blades from Halfords or is that a Westfield only thang too?

TIA

All competent garages can MOT a Westfield - some do get confused with the emissions regs  ;)  :)  But not always a bad thing  ;)  :D  :)  :p  ;)

Wiper blades can be sought from a few specialists I think they're made by Tex or something - not your Halfrauds stock item, probably take longer to explain to young spotty behind the counter than it would for Westfield to mail you one  ;)  :D  :)

Hi Mike,

Good lookin car you chose, the right engine etc!

One garage that serviced mine (very reasonably) wanted a cert from Westfield that the car was supplied from new "unable" to run on unleaded before they would complete the MOT without the emissions.

Waste of time in the end as the car would've passed anyway......

Low tech & clean unlike these dirty Cat equipped cars.....

Yup phone Westfield for your wiper bits far easier
