I don't no the hiddens costs and pitfalls of the venture!  Building it from a donor car with a standard engine and getting it passed the SVA firstly (before i beef it up).I'm mechanically adapt and now have the space to build (Yahoo). ???  ???  ???

Similar to me...

Except replace the adept with inept....

Westfield reckon around £15k for a full new modular build...

I'm aiming more for around £8k-9K using donor parts and sourcing engine/gearbox and other gubbins from elsewhere, as much as poss...

If you can go cheaper, let me know how!!!!!

Nezzer,

At the risk of stating the bleedin' obvious, I'm not sure there's a donor car that would give you all the bits you need in one package.  Westfield source the bits from a multitude of cars so just buy whichever bits you need along the way.   The Westfield parts catalogue is a useful starting point.

Cost depends very much on the spec of the car - if you want a light weight stripped out minimalist car then, with a standard engine and gearbox, GBP8-9K is probably doable.

But if you want a heater, screen, weather gear, carpet, comfy seats, etc., etc., etc then these all add to the cost noticably !

GBP15K should see you with a very nice car, although don't expect too many toys to be included in that price.
