Del Posted November 14, 2002 Posted November 14, 2002 Good afternoon. Before I go off to the motor factors with a piece of bodywork, has anyone found a good off-the-shelf colour match in cellulose for Westfield Chrome Yellow? I'm thinking about painting my Seight cam covers over the winter. Come to think of it, is cellulose a good enough material to resist oil and heat? I do have spraying gear suitable for cellulose and acrylic, but I wouldn't take the risk with two-pack. Many thanks. Quote
Blatman Posted November 14, 2002 Posted November 14, 2002 Give the boys at CAT Motorsport a call. I'm sue they'd be able to help. Of not....... take the cam cover, and a sample of the colour you want, to your nearest powder coaters, and ask if they can help you. Not as daft as it sounds.... my local powder coaters keeps the lime green coulour of my car in stock, for use in ALL applications, even on the exhaust.......... Quote
Del Posted November 14, 2002 Author Posted November 14, 2002 Many thanks Blatman. Thanks also for your reply to my query about "Wunderseal". I showed the thread in your link to a friend on the day he took delivery of a 5 litre pot of "Rubberseal". He's now looking out for a full biological protection suit before he opens the tin! Quote
