DAZ Posted November 5, 2002 Posted November 5, 2002 Hi there Just bought a megablade with RAC rollbar fitted,is it possible to fit a boot box or not. DAZ Quote
Bananaman Posted November 5, 2002 Posted November 5, 2002 It is possible Daz although you will have to cut some holes in it. I am assuming that you are going for a removable one (roolbar), if not then i don't think it will fit, most people just fit a blanking plate of ally of carbonfiber sheet, having no boot box also reduces weight Andy Quote
jasong Posted November 6, 2002 Posted November 6, 2002 it can be done with a permanant Westfield supplied RAC roll bar, it takes a bit cutting of the boot box, then the standard boot cover thingy doesn't fit on. So I made up an MDF boot lid, hinged with a lock on it. Then cut up the origonal boot cover and used it to cover the MDF over. It works really well, but a boot load of stuff must slow it down no end Quote
peterrosey Posted November 6, 2002 Posted November 6, 2002 Yes the boot box can be made to fit an RAC roll bar, but it's much easier to do if you have one with removable rear struts -mine didn't and was an absolute pig to do. It is useful to have though and it is only a little heavier than a flat sheet. Plus it looks much better too IMO. Quote
DAVE O Posted November 6, 2002 Posted November 6, 2002 Still have my old boot box (I fitted a flat carbon sheet) if you need a template or need to try one for size! I'm in Herts. Dave O. Quote
