Mat Jackson Posted May 4, 2010 Posted May 4, 2010 OK, I`m a paypal newby, but am I right in thnking that as a domestic user there are no charges when I buy stuff using paypal, or when I sell stuff using it (ie when people send me money) Also there seem to be no charges when I transfer moeny from my paypal account to my bank account. So, thats great for me (if I have it right) but how do they make money? Quote
Barry Ashcroft Posted May 4, 2010 Posted May 4, 2010 They will charge you to receive money about 3% I think. And when you receive money you have to manually transfare to your bank account which takes a few days where they are making interest with your money. Quote
JeffC Posted May 4, 2010 Posted May 4, 2010 you pay fees on what you recieve as barry said, think its 5%.. you think you have made a killing when you sell something on ebay but when you see what ebay charges you to list then a selling fee (10% of final price ?? ) then paypal fees it leaves you with next to nowt Quote
