I had a mundano with that engine, it was a lovely car to drive and I always thought it would be a good engine foe a westy but with a st170 being the same stock power is it worth the hassle of anon satndard engine? Or as I suspected back then can u wring a load more power out of it?

I drove both a 2.0l and the v6 mundano , the v6 was the better of the two effortles to drive and loads of grunt low down till the 24 v came online , I know a couple of my mates with much faster cars could be kept humble if they didn't pay attention

But then you can always throw in the 3,0 litre Mondeo 220 engine! That would be my choice.

With some extra breathing ofcourse :D
