I paid 158.5 euro + vat for mine 3 weeks ago from my local Westfield supplier in Belgium. It comes with the frame attached. (this was for the SE model) cheers Bruno Quote
Steve Kirk Posted October 26, 2002 Posted October 26, 2002 pp Aslong as the Ali surround is umdamaged , a new screen should cost you about £48 inc vat from good old RAC Autowindscreens ,don't know the number offhand but try Yell.com for your nearest branch. HTH SK Quote
Blatman Posted October 26, 2002 Posted October 26, 2002 If you have fully comp insurance and windscreen cover, who cares what it costs........claiming for a screen shouldn't affect NCD either. As Steve said, get RAC Autowindscreens/Autoglass/whoever to fix it, and bill the insurnace company. Quote
samcooke Posted October 27, 2002 Posted October 27, 2002 *hijack* Is bassingbourn worth a visit? It's nice and near and bang cheap but I've heard the surface is cack (stones?! I seem to remember someone on here was working on an easily changeable full/aero screen - Furtive praps? Quote
peterpeter Posted October 27, 2002 Author Posted October 27, 2002 BLatman. Of course youre right... for some reason didnt think the insurance cover would pay for it (coz its so cheap) But they do according to my policy document. As for bassingbourne.... well, the facilities are pants, its always windy, and yes the surface its a bit poo., but it really is fun, and it is a great leveller (my 2 litre pinto was pretty much destrying everything bar a racing c******m) Went with Motorsports Events Ltd, who incidentally are a really nice bunch of people.
