Webers

I have been planning to put twin weber 45's on to my 2l zetec.  However there have been all sorts of delivery problems with the webers (new).  Currently I have a single fuel line fitted and a red top facet fuel pump.  

Is there another carburettor that can interchanged or do I have a long wait while webers pull their finger out?

Dellortos?

These carbs are very similiar to Webers and are preferred by some people because of improved progression operation.

BTW I originally bought my Weber 45s from Westfield, they had them on the shelf and  -surprisingly- at a competitive price (4 years ago).  The only downside was that they had choke tubes and jets suited to a crossflow - but that was easily fixed.

Forget the old fashioned stuff, go for fuel injection, it only works out about £500 more and you'll get that back in improved fuel economy

Have you tried Peter Lloyd Rallying?  - ad in CCC this month says £398 inc VAt for a pair of 45DCOEs - 01656 724777

Ring Eurocarb(UK importer for dellorto) Speak to matthew he may have webers in stock or better still buy a pair of dellortos off him if you ask he may even jet them correctly for you(he is very good at it) but check with him on what you need if you have a throttle position sensor for your ecu.

Got my Webers from Dunnell with no delay. Also (should be) properly jetted etc. for 2.0 Zetec
