dombanks Posted April 22, 2010 Posted April 22, 2010 im using a roland modela MDX15 milling machine in the lab and need to buy new bits for it, does anyone know 1, what the cutting bits are called? (i think slot drills) 2, where i can buy 0.3mm/0.5mm bits from that are suitable for plastic ad metals google has thrown up a load of places/sites that do the machine and talk about it but nothing much for the bits Quote
Guest Posted April 22, 2010 Posted April 22, 2010 I always use chronos engineering. Slot drills or end mills are what you're after. Slot drills can drill and slot the hole, end mills just mill the surface. Quote
Richgm Posted April 22, 2010 Posted April 22, 2010 Normally slot drills have 2 flutes end mills have 4 but saying that I've never used one any where near as small as you want. Quote
