A few silly questions

One thing I have noticed while trawling through old posts is that it appears there are quite a number of cost saving things you can do in the build in terms of sourcing bits. Is there a definitive list of these things ?

Thanks in advance.

It's as much as you want and are able to source really, sorry to sound non-committal but any list of self sourced parts could be very long  ;)  :D  :)  To suit your engine and spec required.

Westfield can usually supply parts off the shelf for most builds  ;)  :)

Other than the specific items they manufacture "in house" most other stuff can be found from other sources.

What specifically are you thinking of  ???

'Donor' parts you can source yourself would include:

Complete Engine

Gearbox

Diff

Driveshafts

Brakes

Front Uprights (Cortina)

Radiator

to name a few...but you can also source these parts elsewhere from Westfield and save yourself quite a bit (as I have done):

Carbs or Injection (with ECU)

Alloys

Instruments

Lights

Seats

Propshaft

Suspension

Steering Rack

Bushes

Fuel and Brake lines

I am on a budget build and at current estimation I will have spent around £8500 all in. However I have gone for a 2.0L Zetec, Independant rear and throttle bodies....I just have one #### of an eye for a bargain.

I didn't think the word h3ll would be starred out.

As are f**k, s**t nunney, w**ker, ******, c******m, b*****d and a number of others. But that's half the fun....

Oop's I see that w*nker and t*sser are allowed, no doubt for use in the frequent Westfield v c******m threads that appear.
