gregh Posted October 7, 2002 Posted October 7, 2002 What do the two weights mean that are stamped onto a metal plate under the bonnet? cheers, Greg Quote
Chris.B Posted October 7, 2002 Posted October 7, 2002 They are the maximum allowable design weights for each axle. Don't worry - they are not the "actual" weight on each axle. Chris Bath My Build Site - Just updated Quote
gregh Posted October 7, 2002 Author Posted October 7, 2002 Ta Chris!! So there's no way of finding out how much mine weights, short of weighing it Greg Quote
Kevin Wood Posted October 7, 2002 Posted October 7, 2002 If you go to a council weighbridge (often near refuse depts, etc) and slip them a few quid they'll weigh you. Mine was 680 Kg total - in lardy trim (seiw with 2.0 zetec, 15" alloys, sports seats on runners, spare wheel, jack, tools, weather gear, carpets, etc). Kevin Quote
