samcooke Posted October 2, 2002 Posted October 2, 2002 It's slightly rattly but not too horrible. Valvoline 20w50? Ta. Quote

SteveF Posted October 4, 2002 Posted October 4, 2002 Valvoline 20/50 Racing - about £18 for 5 litres - changed onto it a couple of months ago - made quite a difference Steve Quote
samcooke Posted October 4, 2002 Author Posted October 4, 2002 Which is fine, if you can find somewhere to buy the b******d stuff. Valvoline gave me lots of numbers for supposed local suppliers, none of whom still do it. Anyone know of any around Cambridge / Newmarket / Bury St Edmunds / Haverhill / Braintree / Saffron Walden ish? Quote
Blatman Posted October 4, 2002 Posted October 4, 2002 Burtons in Ilford............They have it on the shelf. Not really mid Essex/Herts borders, but it's a quick blast down the M11 Quote
Clive Posted October 4, 2002 Posted October 4, 2002 Of absolutely no use whatsover but I can get it locally (Darlington) @ £12 for 5l Clive I use this in my pinto Quote
samcooke Posted October 4, 2002 Author Posted October 4, 2002 it's a quick blast down the M11 Mwaahahahaha. Quick? M11? "A long queue down the M11" is a bit nearer. Probly quicker to get to Darlington. Quote
Warren E Smith Posted October 7, 2002 Posted October 7, 2002 errr. Comma 5W30 - I reckon I used less than 0.25 litres in 2000 miles 1.7 x-flow 15K miles switched to 10/40 magnatec this time - 500 miles no oil loss. MOT station reckoned that at 500ppm Hydrocarbon emissions I could have passed emissions testing anyway (whilst running genuine leaded 4star) Your choice of oil - depends on Road vs Track use I'd reckon? Done a search for other comments yet? try it Quote
