John Loudon - Sponsorship Liaison Posted March 18, 2010 Posted March 18, 2010 Is the rolling road capable of that much power? Quote
Terry Everall Posted March 18, 2010 Posted March 18, 2010 If its like my little "Pinto" design they wont be able to keep the tyres in contact with the rollers Quote
XTR2Turbo Posted March 18, 2010 Posted March 18, 2010 I think Troys new rollers will take it easily. His old twin roller set up couldn't handle my old ZEI220 though Quote
Northampton Motorsport Posted March 18, 2010 Posted March 18, 2010 Current record holder is 550 at the fly 502 at the wheels ( rover 200 Turbo!!) dyno capacity is supposedly 900 bhp on static load and 1200 on a transient run max speed 225 mph looking forward to seeing Dels Honda strectch its legs Quote
Terry Everall Posted March 18, 2010 Posted March 18, 2010 Lets hope you can strap it down well cos it dont weigh anything like a Rover Turbo car and might climb the rollers:blush: Quote
JeffC Posted March 19, 2010 Posted March 19, 2010 Lets hope you can strap it down well cos it dont weigh anything like a Rover Turbo car and might climb the rollers:blush: had a mare with my 2.3 duratec race car on the rollers at Dennis Veseys , 2 people sat on boot but it then grounded out, so had to change to my wet tyres to get clearance , once it hit 5k it just smoked them, tyres were fecked when mapping session was over Quote
peterg Posted March 19, 2010 Posted March 19, 2010 If you can't keep it on the rollers, take it to Sinclaires and put it on the chassis dyno (you take off the wheels and bolt the dyno to the hubs) clicky Quote
stephenh Posted March 19, 2010 Posted March 19, 2010 Remove one of the plugleads, that'll help to keep it on the rollers! And if that doen't do the trick a large potato up the exhast might help. Quote
Cam Posted March 19, 2010 Posted March 19, 2010 Remove one of the plugleads, that'll help to keep it on the rollers! And if that doen't do the trick a large potato up the exhast might help. Sounds like you are learning the Speed Series tactics then Stephen Quote
