7sRWild Posted March 12, 2010 Posted March 12, 2010 My car is on the ship, the ship is in the harbour, and I want my b****y car..The weather is brilliant here in Alberta, perfect for a se7en, and my car will be stuck with customs for the next week. Damn I'm frustrated.. Quote
nik9669 Posted March 13, 2010 Posted March 13, 2010 Too bad. Forecast here is for sunshine and warmth tomorrow. I guess I'll just HAVE to go for a drive. Quote
dhutch Posted March 13, 2010 Posted March 13, 2010 Hard times isnt it. - I had a really bad day yesterday, possibly the worse of the last 5 years at uni - Solution to the problem was, at 8 in the evening when i got home, to go for a drive. Sadly it actually took till 9 till i managed to get the ruddy thing to start due to the plugs being epically sooted up. (possibly due to numerous cold starts followed by very short runs to campus and back on wednesday afternoons) but it was dam good to be driving it again, will certainly be out over the weekend to break up the workload. lippydave Posted March 14, 2010 Posted March 14, 2010 7 wild, i reckon your going to wet yourself when you see your car it will be there soon. im off out for a blat with the chaps in the sunshine keep smiling Been blatting around in the cold evening air and out and about on Friday afternoon.... I'd forgotten what a stir you create in urban areas in a bright flourescent orange burbling v8 westie on a dull day.... Just wait until you get yer car off the boat, it's a real feel good factor when other motorists are rolling down windows to listen to the exhaust note, asking the usual daft questions...."What is it?" "How much?" How fast" "Is it a race car"...etc, etc and teenage lads whooping with delight as you burble past, older ladies in Mercs giving you the thumbs up...and on, and on... Than the obvious real enjoyment when you get onto sparsely populated curvy country roads......(Even when they're still covered in winter slime and grime....) It's amazing what you forget over a winter of not using yer Westie.... 7SRWild all this coming to a garage near you soon.... Quote
7sRWild Posted March 14, 2010 Author Posted March 14, 2010 I'm not excited, who says I'm excited, dont know what yur talking about...I'm not, I'm really not... Quote
Buzz Billsberry Posted March 14, 2010 Posted March 14, 2010 I wouldn't worry my Westy did it to Houston with 2 other cars in the container no problem. It came back from Frisco in the height of the Atlantic bad weather season and not a scratch. Stop worrying... unless the ship gets hit by an iceberg, sunk by a u boat…. stranger things... in fact come to think of it they've both happened.... Buzz Quote
