samcooke Posted September 16, 2002 Posted September 16, 2002 I'm thinking of trying a bit harder on my next track day so a rev limiter seems a must to avoid bangage. I've got a xflow running electronic ignition. Any ideas or advice, please. Would also be handy to know where to set it at once I get it. It's a rally tune 1700 engine built by roger king and runs a 285 cam with double springs and groovy anodised rocker gear (!?). The power seems to be still rising when I bottle it at just over 6k at the mo. 6500ish? Quote
PETER Posted September 16, 2002 Posted September 16, 2002 try burton power or rally design both sell rev limiters for rally and race. they have both electronic and rotor arm types. Quote
Mark Stanton Posted September 16, 2002 Posted September 16, 2002 Omex clubman could be worth you looking at relatively cheap - I run one on my CVH - electronic ignition and its set at 7000 Quote
melf Posted September 16, 2002 Posted September 16, 2002 Yep Omex works well on my x-flow. There are different types, for a few extra pennies you can get a shift light with the unit. This can be set up to come on at say 500 rpm before the rev limit starts to cut in. Only problem with this is at night it lights up the whole car !!!! Quote
