The MOT does not require an emmisions test (except visable smoke test) as long as your car is built from a kit.  :)

It does not matter if the car is on a Q or year plate for these regs.

I spoke to the Vehicle Inspectorate earlier this year about it, and they confirmed the facts  :)  :) .  No emmisions test even though my car was built from ALL new parts, post 1995 or whenever the regs change was.

So it is  :arse: to CO and HC tests, and bye bye CAT.

For Sale - 1 CAT for standard underbody Zetec exhaust!

no no no no no! You want a Toyota 4AGE engine.  :p

£3K will get you a 162bhp Tracpac 1 Toyota 4AGE engine.

Absolute value for money and cheap.

Mine will be fitted in two/three weeks time! Wooohoo! :0

I got taken out in the RAW Toyota yesterday at donnington and ok the driver was well over 20 stone and again I'm over 14 stone so not by any means light,  but this sylva striker with the 162bhp raw was whipping all BUT an R500 superlite and the Ultima 500bhp in straightline acceleration!

So I expect with just me in the car I would have absolutely flown around the track.  Totally amazing engine, 8500 rpm limit, 162 bhp througout the rev range, incredibly flexible and great sounding beast!

Not sure what it's like up against Zetecs but it is much lighter and full of torque so I expect it's an equal match.

Also with the toyota you can go up to 250bhp without any problems, or even much expense!

I'm totally impressed as you can tell!  :p
