Hi people, looking for someone/ anyone who has a pair of the perspex wind deflectors that are available from a couple of places (or knows anyone who has). Question is..... Do they work and if so, how well? Any views appreciated!! Thanks! :)

I got a set - the better ones at £50 or so and TBH I found an improvement but not as much as I had hoped

they certainly reduce "the I cannot breath moments" when you get a side wind, but they do little to help the bashing and earache you get when running with a screen (inc when wearing helmet)

so I ended up going aeroscreen in the end - but thats another story

Agree with Cleggy. I run most of the year with no doors/roof (in the dry I might add!) so have the deflectors fitted all of the time. I reckon they allow me to drive in comfort at about 10mph more than without them fitted. I have full screen and deflectors both sides and 70-75 on the motorway (god forbid) is bearable. If the previous owner had not fitted them knowing what I know now not sure I would bother spending £50-60.

I found them ok but don't expect them to be like winding a side window up  a on convertable, for me they make crusing on long journeys better but i'd rather have them than not, and they'll stop on and not crack at over 145mph as tested by myself and Barry in the USA... on a private road of course!

Well worth it IMO but I think the size and position is quite important - I think big ones create eddies etc.

Had cleggys ones, make a big difference imo, as i prefer to breath when i drive.

Also deflects the puddles when it pees down with rain

Would get another set if these broke.

I used a pair of deflectors for a while & found them a bit better than nothing. I think the results depend a lot on your seating position. If like me you have to have the seats back as far as they will go go then the efficiency of the deflectors is greatly reduced. If you lean forward in the car then the difference is amazing but not really practical. I thing for shorter people the benefits are much greater as they miss the buffeting effect. Being an ex biker I would change to an aeroscreen & crash helmet tomorrow but living in rural Herefordshire I would finish every blat covered in cow sh*t, sheep sh*t & mud.

I don't care if i'm considered a wuss, for long journeys I use side screens. No problem with stones being thrown, cigarette butts from inconsiderate tin tops, or cow and  sheep do dos.
