Oil Overfill - Plum of Smoke??

Recommended Posts

Hi, all.  Back again.

Put about half litre of oil in my crossflow which has minor oil leak, and now reads max on drip stick..

I was out of spin and got a nice plum of blue smoke from exhurst when pulling between 6.5-7k revs.

Never happen before putting oil in... have I over filled or should I be worried.

Engine seems to run fine otherwise....

Just this nice plum of smoke if I push it to much.

oh, 1300 crossflow,

high pressure piston Compression  appox 10.5.1

Ford GT Cam Shaft(Sport XR2)

High Pressure Oil Pump

Minisport 1600GT Stage 2 Head

Thanks for the help

Probably has been over filled slightly. I wouldn't worry about it too much, X/Flow's are very good a finding the oil level that they are happy with.

I've got a 1300 xflow I'm putting into a fury.  Hasn't got any oil in it and there's still a puddle underneath!
