gixermark Posted January 9, 2010 Posted January 9, 2010 Juno's are lovely, and seem to be very well put together... there is the OSS series that is 'club' level with a well packaged wk end of practice, qual & 2 races... plenty of similar cars to play with. i ended up having to get long custom made ramps along with a tilt bed trailer to get my radical onto a trailer that i also had to buy specifically for the job... sports protitypes can be a challenge to transport & work on... but lovely to drive !! Yeah it's looking increasingly likely that we're going to have to get something made for the purpose. That's never cheap Quote
gixermark Posted January 9, 2010 Posted January 9, 2010 i think mine ended up 7 or 8 ft long... and it was still really tight even with the bed tilted... they are tough cars to manage on your own - but assuming you will be using with your mate it will be grand... Has it got centre lock wheels ? if so you can save yourself a headache and get studs made to fit into the stub axle - get a loop of steel welded or weld in a shackle loop - then you can just insert into each wheel stub and put the hook of a strap through the shackle loop/end.... VERY easy to do.. Quote

Nick Algar - Competition Secretary Posted January 10, 2010 Posted January 10, 2010 Always liked the Juno's, you will have to keep us posted with what it is like to drive. What is the weight ? Quote
Frosty Posted January 10, 2010 Posted January 10, 2010 Wow, wow and wow! What a fantastic purchase. I'd like a Radical as my next fun car, and I think the Juno is the only car which could persuade me out of that. Do please post a report after your first track day. Quote
juansolo Posted January 10, 2010 Author Posted January 10, 2010 Not sure about the weight as we're still waiting for some literature to come through. A quick google suggests 600kgs, I'd have guessed mid 500's so not far out. It's a BIG car in the flesh, very wide, very long. Colin (who I've bought the car with) went from a Westfield to a Radical Clubsport (which I also used to drive). I can highly recommend it. It's such a different thing to drive it's untrue, yet they're surprisingly forgiving. They're definitely the step inbetween a Westie and the Juno. Amazingly good fun and huge bang per buck. Quote
cast iron Posted January 10, 2010 Posted January 10, 2010 Looks an awesome bit of kit Quite a bit of the Juno development was carried out at Croft. I saw a round of the VdeV at Croft - awesome speeds. When I had my car on the rollers at Dennis Vesseys last year a guy was working on different Honda Manifolds using the Engine Dyno for VdeV racing. juansolo Posted December 3, 2010 Author Posted December 3, 2010 Quick thread resurrection. For those that were interested, we've just completed a year with the car. I was pestered by a beardy gent into keeping a diary of sorts which is HERE. Hope you find it interesting... Quote
