juansolo Posted January 9, 2010 Author Posted January 9, 2010 Maybe. I've gone halves with a friend on it. We're going to trackday it first to get used to it, then maybe try a sprint or two and see where we go from there. We haven't got the budget to mix with the big boys in Speed/VdeV sadly. Quote
nikpro Posted January 9, 2010 Posted January 9, 2010 Will it be appearing at any BookaTrack days? Quote
juansolo Posted January 9, 2010 Author Posted January 9, 2010 Will it be appearing at any BookaTrack days? Oh certainly. We're booked in for Spa in August (potentially Zandvoort also if the date is confirmed). We'll try and get something in beforehand. The biggest problem is the noise. Quiet it ain't. A silencer of pure evil is on our list of things to buy. More pressing at the moment is transportation. It fits on the current trailer with 3mm to spare at the sides. But that's without the front pods on. It's about 3cm too big with them on. The trailer fits in the garage with about 4cm to spare at either side and is then winched up to the rafters. We're going to have to have a think about this... Quote
speedy jon Posted January 9, 2010 Posted January 9, 2010 have you thought about the castle combe special gt series? i dunno about costs sorry but i think it will be cheap then VdeV. looks a stunning car Quote

We had to make a bespoke tyre rack for it though Quote

KerryS Posted January 9, 2010 Posted January 9, 2010 Could do with that in my road to clear the snow away, it should work quite well Quote
mark.anson Posted January 9, 2010 Posted January 9, 2010 I know Ewan from Juno quite well and they have just moved to new premises near to where I work. Let me know if you need any parts etc and I can put you on to him. They have been some changes in the company recently following the economic downturn but thier new website is due online soon. We've been in touch with Ewan quite a bit during the run up to picking this up. Nice fella. Hopefully we won't need too many things just yet! Could do with that in my road to clear the snow away,it should work quite well 40mm ground clearance vs 15cm of snow was challenging enough as it was! Wheels need to be underneath to get it into the garage. If we can get the lodeck beavertail with super long ramps and a detatchable tyre rack, it might do us nicely... Quote
