Hi,

I'm installing a Din power socket to make it easier to charge the battery without having to take the bonnet off every time!

I need to extend the power out lead from the charger and wondered what size cable to use?

Could I use mains cable-I know it's overkill but it would keep things neat.

And what size cable from battery to socket?

Any suggestions on where to install/site the socket and is it necessary to use an inline fuse(I don't think so)?

Thanks in advance,

John.

Can you post details of the socket that you intend to use, as I would like to do the same thing.  Thanks Baz.

You're having a laugh.

It,s one thing to see double - when you post the same question in Tech & Newbie section.

It's another thing when an old man like me starts seeing triple!

Why don't you just post the same question in all the other sections? Cars For Sale, Parts For Sale, Cars Wanted, Parts Wanted ..........................................................................................

As I said before, I wasn't sure which section to post in! Are you stalking me :D

No, mate not stalking you at all. Although you have done this before.

As I said when you are as old as me you keep thinking "I've seen this question before". And then "I've seen this question before". And then "I've seen this question before".

I would say by the content of your question it would be best placed in the Tech section.

Hope you are enjoying the snow.
