Dodgy wiring loom?

:( Help required , 90,se x/flow loom butchered.  :arse:  :A***

Had five wires cut ,previuos owner sold the engine and cut

all wires :durr:  :arse:   1,white+brown=oil sensor :D

2,green+blue=water temp sensor :D .Now heres where things

get confusing,3,brown+yellow????  4,light grey?????????

5,black+white ??.    two must be coil - + but which ones,?

If so, whats the other:durr:  :durr:  :durr:

They are on drivers side ,just below the hole in side of the

bonnet,where twin 40s will go eventually  :0

 Anyone got any ideas what to do.?

     Desperately seeking sus##  guidance pleeeeeease!

Rob, Some early SE's used the donor MK2 Escort loom too. Have you got or know somebody with a Haynes manual for above mentioned car? You should have wires for coil, dizzy, alternator, and starter motor as well as the sensor wires.. Otherwise E-mail me and I will try and help you identify the wires, will be relatively easy with a testlamp or multimeter.

Brown/Yellow is Ignition (Charge) warning lamp to Field (small) terminal of alternator.

White/Black is Coil Negative to Contact Breaker points.

Regarding the "light grey": could it in fact be a dirty Coil Positive feed which is normally a plain white wire?

Or is it a dirty White/Slate in which case that is Coil Negative to Tacho?

hi ,problem is now sorted,big thanks to all that posted :t-up:tried to turn her over lastnight,wouldnt budge,(car or wife)
