stu999 Posted July 14, 2002 Posted July 14, 2002 Rob, Some early SE's used the donor MK2 Escort loom too. Have you got or know somebody with a Haynes manual for above mentioned car? You should have wires for coil, dizzy, alternator, and starter motor as well as the sensor wires.. Otherwise E-mail me and I will try and help you identify the wires, will be relatively easy with a testlamp or multimeter. Quote
Richard Green Posted July 14, 2002 Posted July 14, 2002 Brown/Yellow is Ignition (Charge) warning lamp to Field (small) terminal of alternator. White/Black is Coil Negative to Contact Breaker points. Regarding the "light grey": could it in fact be a dirty Coil Positive feed which is normally a plain white wire? Or is it a dirty White/Slate in which case that is Coil Negative to Tacho? HTH Regards all Richard Quote
stu999 Posted July 15, 2002 Posted July 15, 2002 Rob, has Richards posting helped? If not I will give you a ring. what time is best? Stu. Quote
