Garry Bunn - Derby & Notts Joint AO Posted November 23, 2009 Posted November 23, 2009 I have a load of tapes boxed to go to the local tip..........is this the only thing to do with them? Mostly high quality TDK.... and before anyone asks...there are mostly full of motor sport and sci-fi (and top gear...) Its a lot easier to throw C90's away... Quote
barney Posted November 23, 2009 Posted November 23, 2009 whens your betamax collection coming out then... Quote
Garry Bunn - Derby & Notts Joint AO Posted November 23, 2009 Author Posted November 23, 2009 Did I ever tell you that betamax was technically the better format...... and I'm not getting rid of them... they're tucked up with the LP's...... Anyway... shoudn't you be grouting or fixing planes or something....... If you've nothing to do you can come and help me get my gearbox out..... Quote
John Loudon - Sponsorship Liaison Posted November 23, 2009 Posted November 23, 2009 Take a deep breath and feel cleansed as they drop over the edge at the tip. You know it makes sense Quote
Asterix Posted November 23, 2009 Posted November 23, 2009 Funnily enough, we're just about to tip the last of our VHS tapes. They're following the crappy VHS recorders we demolished not long ago. Anyone want an Epson AL-C1000 laser printer in good nick except it needs £230 (yup, two-hundred-and-thirty ) of consumables? Thought not, we came to the same conclusion and bought a cheaper wireless inkjet. We did try the non-Epson brand "refreshed" consumables, but they were poor. Laser's going to tip in next few days. DickieB Posted November 23, 2009 Posted November 23, 2009 Yep, I still use videos. And my freeview is a hand me down on-digital box from my boss at work which is next to useless (the box not the boss). I don't have an ipod either. In fact I haven't spent anything on me for 3 years. Is it coincedence that I have a 3 year old daughter? Quote
John Loudon - Sponsorship Liaison Posted November 23, 2009 Posted November 23, 2009 Dckie - you havent spent anything for much longer than that Quote
Lurksalot Posted November 23, 2009 Posted November 23, 2009 Well I must admit , that one of my Scotch tapes was playing up the other day , do you think they still honour their lifetime guarantee Quote
Terry Everall Posted November 23, 2009 Posted November 23, 2009 But I still use VHS tapes to record tv channels Quote
