Barry Ashcroft Posted November 22, 2009 Posted November 22, 2009 Anybody had any experience of these. I was looking at them today at Exeter and it looked a very nice chassis package. The fron end is a bit iffy looking. Quote
JeffC Posted November 22, 2009 Posted November 22, 2009 Ive had a poke around the farm where they are made when I sold them some bec bits, there was some well engineered bits on them from what I could see Quote
Barry Ashcroft Posted November 22, 2009 Author Posted November 22, 2009 I would'nt of said they were agricultural, Not the one I was looking at today. Quote
barney Posted November 22, 2009 Posted November 22, 2009 theres a guy sprints one, works at M sport..its even in the ford bp (green)colours he was at harewood last year...not sure how it did,but i think it was only his 1st/2nd event in it.he did single seaters till then. barney Quote
JeffC Posted November 22, 2009 Posted November 22, 2009 not agricultural Barry its just the front grill always reminds me of an old massey as I said above they look well made and well thought out its just the front end I cant get away with but im sure there will be a reason behind it Quote
Barry Ashcroft Posted November 22, 2009 Author Posted November 22, 2009 Ah yes sorry mate that went right over my head been a long day. The designer was a fan of BSG Quote
Mark Williamson Posted November 22, 2009 Posted November 22, 2009 Barry, I went on a run out with PH a few weeks ago, the guy who organised the run had a MNR Vortex, It looked like a well finished motor, and he loved it, much more than the Elise he had previously. It's a bike engine? Kwaka I think? He is 'Petrolhead888' on PH! If you wanted to PM him? Mark Quote
Matt Seabrook Posted November 22, 2009 Posted November 22, 2009 Saw you chatting to them later on in the show Barry dont know much about the chassis but the front does look a little gash IMO of course. Thought about a Fisher Fury? It would be high on my short list. Quote

Mark Hi Barry I was with Mark on the PH meet, ive got petrolhead888 contact details if you want them, he loves his MNR its an R1, ime not sure on the body styling but it looks a very capable 7, quite similar to the Mac#1 (dont know if a V8 will fit!) marcus Quote
XTR2Turbo Posted November 22, 2009 Posted November 22, 2009 What weight are these? They seem to have extra crash prptection and quite a wide seating area compared to a Westy. Quote
Major Stare Posted November 22, 2009 Posted November 22, 2009 I quite like the look of them, its different without being too radical. Kinda like they have tried to modernise the traditional 7 shape. Quote

With R1 power about 440kg Plenty of room inside but an anoying diagonal bar on the floor (which can be plated over) For a sprint/race car the parts and bodywork are very cheap to replace when damaged Quote
Mackei23b Posted November 22, 2009 Posted November 22, 2009 not agricultural Barry its just the front grill always reminds me of an old massey as I said above they look well made and well thought out its just the front end I cant get away with but im sure there will be a reason behind it You can still get the more traditional style of nose cone as well. Mark Stanton Posted November 22, 2009 Posted November 22, 2009 front looks a bit donkervoort(ish) Quote
