and thanks for everyones help - I shall be looking on autotrader tonight as the FRV is still in the running - alot funkier and more pleasing to sit in than the touran but not as practical

ok I have gone out and purchased an Honda FR-V this morning

purchased from a Honda dealer a 2.2 diesel SE with alloys and rear park sensors as extras

12 month warrenty - new MOT - some fuel - FSH - 6 months road tax - full service history by Honda - and will have a full service before I take delivery -  it's a 2006 in graphite metallic

paid £11250 which was reasonablecompared to others I have seen and is in very good condition too with no dinks in the bodywork too
