a4gom Posted November 2, 2009 Posted November 2, 2009 skype? its ages since i used it but i'm sure its free download, put on both machines, register two accounts and bingo bobs you're uncle. we've talked to a mate in new zealand a few times, cam pics were a bit slow but that could be our broadband connection. dstorey Posted November 2, 2009 Posted November 2, 2009 Another option is MSN Live messenger which you can download here: http://download.live.com/messenger This article explains how to set it up but some of the links are out of date: http://www.microsoft.com/windows....eo.mspx You just need a free MSN hotmail account Good Luck! blankczechbook Posted November 3, 2009 Posted November 3, 2009 has the web cam got a mic input too ? if not they won't hear you - so you'll have to type quickly to give them live subtitles :-D check with using the sound recorder in accesories or somewhere... or skype setup/options / test call skype is great - and with a paypal account it is easy to call overseas to landlines very cheaply!
