Throbbing Bottie X-Flow Manifold

I hope this isn't as daft a question as it sounds.

I had a memory from somewhere that the inlet manifold for twin 40's on a x-flow is the same as the manifold for 45's.

Can I therefore fit 45mm (tapered) Jenveys (for example) to my existing 40 DCOE manifold? I don't want to buy a dedicated manifold if I can avoid it as x-flow is not the long term direction.

Hi Rich

I ran 45's on a 40 manifold in a MK1 cortina I had, if  memory serves me well  a little matching to do but they are pretty thick and nothing a dremell can not sort out.
