Rory's Dad Posted September 27, 2009 Posted September 27, 2009 I've now got a sub assembly which consists of a spacer, a thermostat between the flow and return and an oil cooler on the end. If I take off the existing oil filter, fit the spacer and then the oil filter there is quite a lot of empty pipe and fittings to fill. The oil cooler is bottom fed. Will the oil flow push out all the air or will there be an air lock in the cooler?? Trying to pre-fill it sounds like a messy business. Your advice would be welcome Rory's Dad Quote
Blatman Posted September 27, 2009 Posted September 27, 2009 I'd try to prefill it as much as possible. Your oil pump will be just as happy pumping compressed air as it would oil... Quote
