Glen H Posted August 30, 2009 Posted August 30, 2009 No - mot mine, but had a call earlier from am old work mate selling his Westy - selling for genuine reasons. I don't know the actual car but do know the spec and performance as its very similar to mine and knowing Duncan it's probably been very well looked after (think he may have purchased it of his mate) - both of who are keen bikers and tend to look after their toys. Seems like a good price for a well sorted car Link To Pistonheads
scott beeland Posted August 30, 2009 Posted August 30, 2009 Very nice indeed mate and thanks for the pm; but too much money for me. I was hoping to sell vx; buy a cheaper westy and free up some cash
shakey Posted August 31, 2009 Posted August 31, 2009 Thats a real nice looking and top spec westy, if mine sells then i will be calling him,
originalgeezer Posted August 31, 2009 Posted August 31, 2009 to put a sour note on it though - if it is not a members car, should it have a link advertising it here? just asking as it seems a senstive subject of late, advertising parts, who can reply etc.... mine is for sale and advertised here, but i am also a fully paid up member - but it is no direct competition for mine, but think there is a conflict of rule application views?
Glen H Posted August 31, 2009 Author Posted August 31, 2009 Not sure to be honest - wasn't trying to be cheeky, just trying to inform people of a possible good car / deal and always good to know if someone can vouch for the sellers credability. Perhaps the powers at be can move to the 'Ebay Links' section if more appropriate
originalgeezer Posted September 1, 2009 Posted September 1, 2009 No worries Glen, I didnt think you were I wouldnt have even looked if it not that my car was for sale in here - but given all the "chunter" about membership with selling, buying etc it made me think if this is something we are allowed to do or not? I have no opinion either way, just thought it should be clear if it is something we allowed to do.
John Loudon - Sponsorship Liaison Posted September 1, 2009 Posted September 1, 2009 If you have no opinion why mention it?
Lurksalot Posted September 1, 2009 Posted September 1, 2009 It may be that he has no opinion of wether the rules are right or not , but wether the rules have been breached or not could be seen as another matter , however trivial .
originalgeezer Posted September 2, 2009 Posted September 2, 2009 No opinion if the rule is right or not - but if the rules are that, then consistent practise should be applied to all
