So far my favourite is ' I am out of the office and you should know that it is my policy to only respond to one in five emails. Unfortunately, today is not your lucky day' ( It is a shame that the added ability for Outlook to automatically delete 4 out of 5 mails as they come in is not yet a feature) Quote

If they get no response, you can claim it never arrived and/or you never saw it, and/or it must have gone straight in the junk email file... etc... Quote
