Jenko Posted August 13, 2009 Posted August 13, 2009 Apologies if it's a repost.... An interesting take on the '7'. Click Quote
combatsapph Posted August 13, 2009 Posted August 13, 2009 Ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwww! I should have looked at that before eating my chinese! Quote
Man On The Clapham Omnibus Posted August 13, 2009 Posted August 13, 2009 Nope. Don't like it! Sorry Quote
davidgh Posted August 13, 2009 Posted August 13, 2009 It seems that what goes around also comes around. The "Striker Clubman" of around 1986-89 used similarly faired rear wings. Oddly enough, the design soon reverted to the original "Se7en" design. It was, however, good (from all perspectives except the aesthetic) to see one out at the recent Hethel round of the Speed Series. Quote
oioi Posted August 13, 2009 Posted August 13, 2009 there was of course a few westies with sidepods as well Quote
pistonbroke Posted August 13, 2009 Posted August 13, 2009 Dont see the point . why not go the whole hog and have a closed wheel job apart from it being an udglyfecker Quote
Cleggy the Spyder Man Posted August 13, 2009 Posted August 13, 2009 I dont think it is too bad really Quote
Fent Posted August 14, 2009 Posted August 14, 2009 NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!! Oh my god that's bad. I really think there is plenty of room for a modern take on the 7 but by god this is not it. Nice angular side pods on a smooth and curved body what the devil! Huge open cut out for the exhaust that must ruin the aerodynamics surely. Backend looks like its not fitted properly with that funny angle. I love the publicity photos, they'll really sell it. The CAD drawing looks like something someone would draw on a CAD training course. It should have a label under neath saying "Joe Bloggs aged 8 3/4" I take it westfield are not currently s******g themselves Quote
Matt Seabrook Posted August 14, 2009 Posted August 14, 2009 I have not see a modern take on a seven that I like yet other than the FW400. Those front arches are not that nice either. Quote
Cleggy the Spyder Man Posted August 14, 2009 Posted August 14, 2009 rear number plate does not look legal to me still quite like it could do with rounding off a bit and like somebody said above the front cycle wings look a bit odd Quote
Cleggy the Spyder Man Posted August 14, 2009 Posted August 14, 2009 I am not defending Tiger - although the factory is up the road from me - but I do think the car is better than looking than many 7 type cars and than you are giving it credit for there are certainly some bits that could be a lot better, but if you squint a bit you have the makings of a tidy well proportioned shape dont forget everybody hated the new shape 3-5 five series beemmers when they were launched Quote
davidgh Posted August 14, 2009 Posted August 14, 2009 dont forget everybody hated the new shape 3-5 five series beemmers when they were launched And your point is? Quote
chris7273 Posted August 14, 2009 Posted August 14, 2009 Some details could be better but I don't find it ugly... - the front wings are CSR-like bad copies - the exhaust line could be more integrated (eg fully under with rear exhaust end) Quote
