craig-c Posted August 13, 2009 Posted August 13, 2009 I have for sale a Momo pre drilled for removable steering wheel, fitment was the lifeline 3 hole set up, bought from Demon Thiefs for £140, http://www.demon-tweeks.co.uk/product....0272761 going to Mallory park tonight so can take with me? Asking for £50, not got time to take pictures at the moment, just finished packing the car, can take pictures of the wheel when we get back weekend. Craig
RichP Posted August 13, 2009 Posted August 13, 2009 Would appreciate first dibs please - will be at Mallory in the morning. I would need to check if it will fit my 3-hole existing boss first, if that's ok? Did the gap at the top take much getting used to? Like the idea of bettter instrument visibility. Cheers Rich (dark blue aeroscreened Westy, group B, Q706VAB)
craig-c Posted August 13, 2009 Author Posted August 13, 2009 I Rich, first dibs is yours, i do like this steering wheel, and it is good to steer with your thumbs just inside the grooves at the top, see you tomorrow or tonight if you are staying over, i think my car is the only one with a full union jack over the bonnet, so you can't miss me LOL. Craig
RichP Posted August 15, 2009 Posted August 15, 2009 Didn't fit my boss so still available - free bump.
moochofun Posted August 16, 2009 Posted August 16, 2009 Don't want to rain on your parade but.... A word of warning for the racers out there... My old man bought one of these for his Gould only to be told at the first race meeting that the wheel is illegal - apparently the wheel has to have a solid outer all the way around i.e. no gaps. We tried to object and say that current F1 cars have a similar design to this type of wheel - albeit with a display in it - only to be told that the display is fine as it acts with the structure of the wheel... Or some other tosh like that. I think we also said it was a positive safety issue as it allows us to see the dash clearer - that didn't wash either... If this one sells and someone want another - I know of a brand spanking new one for sale going cheap!
