rowle1p Posted January 5, 2002 Posted January 5, 2002 Hi I am getting an alternator from a 1.8 zetec for the 2 litre zetec I am putting in my sei, is this correct ?. Also, what do you guys normally do re the mounting of the alternator, do you know anywhere I can get the suitable mounting pieces needed ? at reasonable prices ?. Thanks Phil Quote
jess.hurchist Posted January 6, 2002 Posted January 6, 2002 1.8 will work fine (make sure it has the 6 grooved pulley). Being a bit of a cheapskate myself I manufactured a mounting from 5mm sheet steel, some 5mm washers and a bit of creative welding. Not pretty, and one day I will do something neater, however cast ally alternatives (just avoided some pun there?) are of the order of £100....... damianc Quote
