Good point mr d, it reminded me of a trackday i did at oulton a few years back. I got there early to get a garage, uloaded the car and had a look round. In the garage next to me was a guy with a caterham so i started chatting, he asked me what i was in and when i told him westfield he instantly thought he was supeirior and wanted to bet me that his driver (he wasn't even driving the car??) would beat me round the track i think the car was on a test day as it was in some caterham race series ??? He'd not even seen my car but just becsuse it was a westfield he thought he'd be faster than me. He had a hell of a shock when i started the car up. Needless to say i thrashed them and the weasle dissapeared before i could claim my winnings. Not saying all caterham owners are the same but i'd not want to hang out with these types....

agree with the others, I would say the car doesnt fit into the price bracket you are hoping it to achieve, but flipside is its overspecced for the price bracket that it belongs in and you wont get back what its worth    :bangshead:

If it comes down to getting maximum money I would despec it by offering your parts of value in exchange for standard parts and cash , I had to do the same on my last 1550cc busa, I actually came out in the end with £3-£4k more than I would have got selling the car as it was  :t-up:

Ps.. scratch your itch, Im on itch no 2 now and am the same w****r that i was when I had my westys.  :sheep:

bung a caterham badge on the nose , that should raise the value by at least £5K   :sheep:

Thanks for all of youre comments, I understand what you are saying regards the value of a live axel car, unfortunatley I decided to build the car to the highest standard posible which as usual means I end up losing money. :bangshead:

Yes stripping the Carbon and selling it off makes sence although a shame  I would much preffer to sell the car to someone who apreciates it for what it is and be willing to pay a fair price.

This isnt the whole story as I planned on taking my engine to the new car New 2.0L blacktop with all parts supllied by raceline £5000 engine, Carbon lights Carbon induction and Carbon steering wheel were also going with me! (you can see why I wasnt going to sell this with the car)

I was very interested to see what Jeff's responce was going to be do they really handle that diffrentley jeff?

I deffinatley wouldent be willing to give up everything ive put into the car financial and otherwise for live axel money, the car is worth more to me.

But maybe there's another option?  ;)
