NumberoftheBeast Posted July 9, 2009 Author Posted July 9, 2009 Cheers for the offer mate. The car is still up for sale, but if a buyer doesn't surface soon, it will be staying and I'll be pestering you for upgrade advice! p.s. like the skyline pic! Quote
Porkie Posted July 9, 2009 Posted July 9, 2009 Crap cars in my opinion... Looked awesome though. That Skyline was how I met Polly actually. He Pm'd me on PassionFord as he was looking to get a sensible 4 seater as had baby on way if I remember..... I talked him out of it and he bought an Audi RS4 in the end. The Skyline looked cool... and was fun on track for big a** car. Not nice to live with though. Think it cost me about £25k running cost in 5000miles and 2 years.... Quote
Barry Ashcroft Posted July 9, 2009 Posted July 9, 2009 TVR you will pull your hair out with the reliability (even though the Cerb can be one of the best of them for that) BUT its not somewhere I would ever put children in! Yep all because illinformed comments are posted all over the web Yep f**king unreliably TVR don't know why I ever bought one (can you hear me laughing) Oh yes cause it just did 2800 hard miles in 10days and never missed a beat. So that makes 8000+ trouble free miles in 8months what a dog I bought Come on Mr Ashcroft....you aren't seriously trying convince a bunch of car nuts, that TVR's are in fact reliable.. are you....? I appreciate you have had no problems with yours, but that seems to be the case that some are fine and others keep breaking.........I'm sure the later ones are 'better' but TVR's did have their faults.... By the way, this would never put me off buying one...I love um and would have one tomoorrow if I could....A Cerbera in Orange...ummmmmm yes please. Paul. Of course not, Everything has problems but we only tell the negatives not the positives. I honestly thought I was gonna kill the car on the France trip cause I drove the a** of it but it kept smilling just like I did. And as we know s**t sticks. I make decisions myself not on what the great unwashed post about on forums. Quote
cast iron Posted July 10, 2009 Posted July 10, 2009 Skyline R32 33 or 34 nuff said had all 3.... MASSIVE pains in the a**. hugely expensive to run! Especially the R34... I loved its looks... but that was about it! I would NEVER buy another one! That made me laugh because actually you did buy another and another I know plenty of people who love them and have had no bother, certainly no where near TVR scale problems Quote
