Pinto Boy Posted July 4, 2009 Posted July 4, 2009 I'm replacing my starter motor & have got confused on what type I need. I searched previous posts & they stated that it was most probably a pre-ingaged type. However I've taken it off it looks like an inertia type as the starter cog wheel is on a sliding post & I've measured its position & it doesn't engage when fitted. Can I get any 'pinto' starter motor or do I use the Lucas part number on the old one (25368A) to get a like for like replacement? What is the advantage of lower geared type? Cheers Quote
