pistonbroke2 Posted June 7, 2009 Posted June 7, 2009 Just spotted this http://www.formula1.com/news/headlines/2009/6/9466.html Quote
pistonbroke Posted June 7, 2009 Posted June 7, 2009 Team Lightspeed Isn't that who Buzz drives for Quote
BigDaveUK Posted June 7, 2009 Posted June 7, 2009 Would love to see the Prodrive/Aston team in there too Quote
matt_c Posted June 8, 2009 Posted June 8, 2009 Both of those teams would be a great addition to F1 Shame Lotus couldn't race in the JPS livery though Quote
Matt Seabrook Posted June 8, 2009 Posted June 8, 2009 I would be surprised if Lotus could raise the budget to get a competertive team. would be good to see them back though. Quote
Buzz Billsberry Posted June 8, 2009 Posted June 8, 2009 Its all a bit premature tbh .As Eddie Jordon was saying on the BBC yesterday it takes a minimum of a year to design & build a car.+ I can't see them getting a place, before Team USF1,Campos Meta F1 & Prodrive. Theres a host of teams with credentials before litespeed;Lola, isport, epsilon Euskadi, formtech and even RML. if they haven't got a car under development already there is no way they'll be in F1 one next year I also think Toyota will be the factory team that will drop out next year. Buzz Quote
matt_c Posted June 12, 2009 Posted June 12, 2009 It seems Lotus won't be in the line up for next year, shame. http://www.formula1.com/news/headlines/2009/6/9487.html Quote
BigDaveUK Posted June 12, 2009 Posted June 12, 2009 interesting. shame about Prodrive and lotus. anyone ever heard of Manor before!? Good to see cosworth back Quote
matt_c Posted June 12, 2009 Posted June 12, 2009 interesting. shame about Prodrive and lotus. anyone ever heard of Manor before!? Good to see cosworth back I've heard of Manor Motorsport (From F3 I believe) it must be the same people. I agree, it's good to see Cosworth back in the sport. Quote
matt_c Posted September 15, 2009 Posted September 15, 2009 Update: Apparently Lotus WILL return to F1 now. In 2010 According to the BBC It's a shame they wont be allowed to race in JPS livery though Although it seems it's more Litespeed using the name 'Team Lotus' rather than Lotus themselves. Apparently they will be using Cosworth engines. Quote
Barry Ashcroft Posted September 15, 2009 Posted September 15, 2009 I can here them over the other side now banging on about heritage Quote
Mark (smokey mow) Posted September 15, 2009 Posted September 15, 2009 I can here them over the other side now banging on about heritage How right you are , but I think the 6th post and reference to Westfield is a bit harsh Quote
DAVE O Posted September 15, 2009 Posted September 15, 2009 Manor Motorsport based in Dinnington South Yorks near Rotherham... Mr Hamilton and Mr Raikkonen have both driven for them in the past. Quote
Steven (WE51STE) Posted September 15, 2009 Posted September 15, 2009 I thought the 6th comment on the dark side was appropriate we could take a 50 year old design and improve it where needed. They could then also make similar changes and make it a couple of inches wider 10 years later. Steve Quote
greenandmean Posted September 15, 2009 Posted September 15, 2009 Manor Motorsport based in Dinnington South Yorks near Rotherham... Mr Hamilton and Mr Raikkonen have both driven for them in the past. Owned and run by Mr John Booth, when I started marshaling in the 70's John was in Formula Ford along with another John Booth, to avoid confusion they were given nicknames after their respective trades. John Butcher Booth and John Brolly Booth (umbrella manufacturer), Manor's boss is the ex butcher. Quote
