I did something different last night

I had forgotten how much fun this is. Sure candles for headlights keeps the speeds down, and the car is somewhat "dead fly" coloured now, but what a great night.

The flames from the exhaust and underfloor neons were a real blast, kept me amused for miles.

I have put better bulds in my lights and it makes night driving so much easier. Head to Halfrauds for the super bulbs well worth the cost :D  :)  :)

I have some super Phillips ones in mine, best legal ones you can get according to Autocar  :t-up:

Mark - give us a shout next time you go out night time if you fancy a joint ride out

I bet you were just practising that new route  :D

I actually prefer driving my car at night - no glare of the sun, less traffic and you can tell when other cars are coming your way on country lanes.  Looking forward to a few midnight blats on some balmy summer nights.

I love driving the westy in the dark for all the above reasons (except the neons  :blues: )

Ditch the bulbs and fit a Xenon HID kit - I've got a bi-xenon kit 4800k fitted, cost under £80 - it fits inside the standard headlights just fine, and the lights are on a par with my Xenon equipped 5-Series. (well, they shake and rattle a bit more than the BMW!)

Don't ask about the legalities - I'm not sure. But I've left the 'standard' wiring in just incase. I've got HID retro-fitted in two cars and both of them have passed the MOT's this year with it.
