Bananaman Posted June 3, 2009 Posted June 3, 2009 Just got my new website online after a split from my business partner. Any feed back would be useful, aslo if anybody knows of anyone who might be interested in the services of a Landscape Architect then please pass on details. Also if anyone requires Garden Design then please get in contact. landscape-design-solutions.co.uk Quote

John Loudon - Sponsorship Liaison Posted June 4, 2009 Posted June 4, 2009 Hi Andy, All looks to function OK. Just the obvious missing item is the lack of colour pictures. I know you have some plans on there but to Joe Public they are a distinct turn off as they generally dont understand things like that and would rather see colour pictures of some kind. Perhaps a photo of the area that a plan relates to along side (or above) would be a solution? HTH John Quote

Captain Colonial Posted June 4, 2009 Posted June 4, 2009 Looks clean and smooth, works fine in Firefox (which is not always the case). However, I don't like the look of the kids in that playground. Wouldn't trust 'em as far as I could throw them, the miserable little breadsnappers. And a photo of a Westfield would brighten it up. Best of luck in your new venture. Quote
peterg Posted June 4, 2009 Posted June 4, 2009 I wouldn't buy a house called 'Ken' and should the other ones say 'Chav' instead of 'Cha' Quote
mavhh Posted June 4, 2009 Posted June 4, 2009 Nice crisp/clean design - I like it - quite refreshing actually in a whole world wide web of cluttered pages! I feel bad critising your page when I don't know you, but I know how hard it is to spot things when your too involved in the development... so here goes, four (petty little) things: (MS-Explorer 6+SP2 1680x1050) 1. There is a narrow blue bar behind the buttons, but only on one side... 2. Could the 'buttons' stay grey whilst you are on that page... I was working my way across the buttons and kept repeating the pages... 3. On 'Housing Design' - I don't know if it means somthing in the world of landscapes, but the houses have "Ken" and "Cha" written on them... upside down. I think it would look 'neater' either without the "ken" and "cha" or with the picture flipped over... 4. Nice photo on the home page? Hope that helps. Dave Quote
Cleggy the Spyder Man Posted June 4, 2009 Posted June 4, 2009 Clean and tidy site The only obvious thing other than the above are perhaps some referals and some pictures of previous work completed if available ... and yeah the homepage defo needs some colour and picture or two to engage the eye a little Quote
peterg Posted June 4, 2009 Posted June 4, 2009 QUOTE Nice photo on the home page so that rules out a picture of you Andy Quote
Bean Posted June 4, 2009 Posted June 4, 2009 Looks good, a few formatting bugs to tidy up. Any reason you chose not to make it fill the entire page width? Quote

Bananaman Posted June 4, 2009 Author Posted June 4, 2009 Thanks for the feedback, i'll do a little tweeking... Quote
Mark Stanton Posted June 4, 2009 Posted June 4, 2009 "Ken" and "Cha" usually shortened version of full house name - perhaps "Kensington" and "Charlbury" and house names are always same orientation as plot plans which generally have front door facing bottom of drawing sheet which is whey they often appear upside down on site plans Quote
