Cleggy the Spyder Man Posted May 10, 2009 Author Posted May 10, 2009 what sorta horses you kicking out with that turbo on Dave? Quote
LocoR1 Posted May 10, 2009 Posted May 10, 2009 Its never been near a dyno i set it up on the road using a wideband setup, so can only look at the bike graphs i copied the conversion of would expect 230-240 @ the flywheel not bad for 998cc While i remember you brake lights only work when you really stand on it! makes it entertaining to try and out brake you Assume Westfield use use the pressure switches? my brothers MK is the same, good old mk2 escort switch on mine. Edited to say: This graph is from a bike running 0.8 bar about the same as mine so could be 250hp it doesn't really bother me about figures if i get out of it after a good blat shaking its fast enough for me . Cleggy the Spyder Man Posted May 11, 2009 Author Posted May 11, 2009 loadsa power ...goes like stink m8 regards the brake lights, rarely use the brakes as I have a air brake type windscreen will check them tonight however Quote

markcoopers Posted May 11, 2009 Posted May 11, 2009 Sorry for having to shoot off, but at 7.06pm I was back on my driveway, so not bad from Corby Glen. Yes the full route out to Melton mowbry, then down to market harborough then Uppingham, corby, Oundle and back would be a real blast. Was quite nice to sit at the back and watch up front. My 4 speed/live axle combo can be a tad slow on the bumpy and long stretches, but found you all within easy reach each time, made a change from being at the front and getting caught for speeding. There was a cavalier behind me from Stanford to Bourne, driven with some enthusiasm and determination. Quote

Cleggy the Spyder Man Posted May 11, 2009 Author Posted May 11, 2009 Think we could have lost the cavalier on some bends if he had of had a clear run Dave : you are right about my rear brakes lights, just tested and they do seem to need a fair bit of pressure to get the lights on... mmm investigation into this one required Quote
LocoR1 Posted May 11, 2009 Posted May 11, 2009 I just got 29 reply notification for your post what the devil must be importance lol Didn't look right, i tend to look ahead like most seven/bike riders but your average numpty in his tintop could run into the back of you so worth getting sorted is the brake light a pressure switch? swampy56 Posted May 11, 2009 Posted May 11, 2009 Hi Cleggy What a great drive out, good to meet you all. First time Ive been out on a hoon and not had to hold back on the acceleration after a bend or a junction (up to the speed limit of course). glad to see mark turn up in a black westfield, as i was feeling left out not having a yellow car! Now all I want some flames like Dave's! and thanks to Cleggy for paying for my fuel............ Looking forward to playing again. Paul (atom) Quote

Should be a pressure switch, leave the old knackered one in and put a trip switch on the brake pedal,I did and my brake lights come on as soon as my foot touches the pedal almost.Handy when you can brake as quick as we can.
