are you saying that there was some kind of difference

if quality control is in operation for standard units then shouldn't they all be the same  ???  ???  ???  :)  :)  :)

Have ordered bits about 4 times over the last month. Always got through by at least the third ring. Got through on the second today so they must be improving.

Always pleasant and helpfull though in the parts dept.

Wow! Got throught first time today. Thats 3 - 2 now 1 ring to answer, does that mean next time WF will ring me to tell me what I'm going to need. :D

I'm sorry I have to bring this to the top of the list again but I've endured a lot of these problems and others besides, too long a list I shan't even go into not least as I may smash my laptop on the wall before I've actually completed this post.

I think the support has been terrible throughout my build and am really very cross about the number of parts missing, not correct and times I've been told we'll call you back today and heard NOTHING!! oh and the bare faced lie of, we'll send it out today only to still be waiting 6 weeks down the line.

The thing that gets me most however is that I feel I have been fully justified in many of my complaints and feel I've been treated awefully but they just do not seem to care at all.

I just want the whole build done and overwith. ASAP.

as been stated a few times in this topic. things are not that great with the quality of these kits, and during my build now i am finding issues that by now a company like westfield really should have nipped in the bag and sorted out.

i am finding a lot of items do not fit correctly, i have had brackets missed off my chassis, wrong spec/thickness material has been used. they have built enough of these cars by now so you would like to think they would have the problems addressed and rectified after the first few, but no!

it seems nothing has an inspection process, or tolerances to work too, and makes every single job on the car twice if not even 3 times as long to do, and i am seemingly spending more time doing this. luckily i am in a position where i am a motorsport fabricator/machinist so i am able to rectify a lot of the problems, but for the people who are not so lucky to do what i do, i feel sorry for because the factory is no help when it comes to trying to find a solution. most of the time you get the standard answer of 'send it back and we will send you new ones' but this still has to be done at your own cost!!

again the issues of not returning phone calls comes highly on my list. it is just common courtesy that if you say you will call some one, then please call! i hate having to pester for answers but its the only way i get some where.

I will just say that the parts guys have been very good when i have made a trip to go and pick some thing up!

little improvements could be made that would turn the company around, but will they every happen? that we are yet to see.............

I understand how you feel. My experience is not as bad as yours but nevertheless frustrating. I have rung and emailed on numerous occasions. If you are lucky and get Mark Walker or Simon Naughton they talk sense and are helpful. The problem is that most of my emails don't get to them or if they do they are too busy to respond. I have had parts missing or not up to scratch and Mark has instructed the parts dept to send me replacements but I never get them. So my feeling is that the parts department is the weak link. I have actually resorted to buying missing parts like dashboard switches from other suppliers.

My current gripe is the supposed kit of parts being prepared by Westfield to enable unfinished builds to pass the IVA test. Details of items and costs were to be posted on the WSC website but nothing as yet - seems to indicate to me that once you have bought a kit and they have got your money they lose interest. The website is pretty cr*p anyway.

Possible solution is to go to the factory with a list of what you need and don't leave until you have satisfaction but that depends on how far away you live I suppose.

PS. Apologise if this all sounds like moaning but the F1 qualifying debacle has put me in a bad mood!!
