JohnCh Posted April 15, 2009 Posted April 15, 2009 I have the MOG seats without padding and I don’t miss it a bit. I was worried before USA2005 that the seats would get uncomfortable after a few hours so I put together some cushions to increase comfort, but I quickly discovered those weren’t necessary. I’ve done well over 600 miles in a day with no problems. To put the comfort in perspective, I have a back problem that has degenerated quite a bit over the last year (in my second round of physical therapy since August and had spinal injections in December) and I’ve found that one of the most comfortable places for me to sit at home is in the Westfield. It is also the most comfortable car for me to drive in large part thanks to the seats. Definitely try before you buy and see how the seat shape fits your body, but as a rule I think a properly designed, unpadded seat can be very comfortable. -John Quote
Liam Posted April 15, 2009 Posted April 15, 2009 MK. No padding. No problems. Like, Lemans and back to name but one longish flog. Quote
spence Posted April 15, 2009 Posted April 15, 2009 Don't know if anybody has found the same problem though with these fibre glass seats. The adjusting buckle for the 4 point harness is now hidden for the waist strap. The belt comes though the hole cut in the seat but i can't adjust it anymore unless i unbolt the seat. The only solution i can see atm is to cut larger access holes or get new belts where the adjusting buckle is at the waist. Quote
Cleggy the Spyder Man Posted April 15, 2009 Author Posted April 15, 2009 Ok thanks for all your input guys -- looks like long term I may go for the jk seats as they look the business ... will check some out at stoneleigh however mine are near as damned it sold - so shall be replacing them with some yellow piped ones for the same monies as I hope to get for mine- Gotta love no cost upgrades (even if it is just a visual upgrade ) think I will remove runners to lower the seats and shed a little weight at the same time These will hopefully be gracing my motor soon Quote
